CR Williams is my guest on this episode. He’s recently written a book about gunfighting. We discussed some excellent topics such as the emotional orientation to a gunfight, actual techniques such as the draw stroke, use of the long gun in self defense, why having a John Wayne attitude isn’t all bad, what they’re not telling you about point shooting, fighting inside of your house, long range shooting with a handgun, dry fire practice and whether or not you can buy accuracy! In other words, is accuracy king?

Ben Branam reviews my S&W M&P Shield 9mm pistol. After our recent training class, we got together and I let him shoot my little Shield. So Ben took it home and did a review on it. He does a very good job of pointing out the positives and negatives. There’s a lot of positive feedback on this gun, but few people point out the negatives. There are some negatives, so this is a very fair review. I did a video review on this gun and also shot it at the range. Visit my Youtube channel (HandgunWorldShow) and check it out. Thanks for downloading and listening.

This midweek MSP (Modern Self Protection) podcast hosted by Ben Branam is a review of the Kel Tec P-32 pocket pistol. Ben does a nice job of discussing the pro’s and con’s of this pocket mousegun. I used to have a P3AT and it’s almost identical to the P-32. So if you’re considering a pocket pistol from Kel Tec you might gain a lot from this review. I also start the episode with some listener voice mails. Thanks for downloading and listening. Bob and Ben.

This episode is a guest interview with Paul Lathrop of the Politics and Guns podcast. I don’t normally discuss politics or have debates or discussions on political issues regarding the 2nd Amendment, but this one is a good one and I decided to make an exception. We discussed what should be required and what should not be required to own and carry a gun. This episode starts with listener voice mails. Thanks for downloading and listening.

1911 pistols have stood the test of time, no doubt. And it seems as though they are just as popular today, as they’ve ever been. Lately, they seem to be getting a bad rap, so this week, Jon Hodoway from Nighthawk Custom joins me to discuss 1911’s in general, and why they still remain an excellent concealed carry and combat pistol. We also spent some time discussing the recent mass shootings and what it means to those of us who carry a gun every day. Thank you for downloading and listening. Bob Mayne, Handgunworld Podcast

Recent events lately have stirred up a lot of conversation about mass shootings. Thanks to a listener on Facebook, I’ve decided to change my terminology and call them active killers instead of active shooters. So Jack Rumbaugh is my guest to talk about recent events, how to prepare yourself for the unfortunate situation if you’re in an active killer situation. You and I are shooters, the people who commit these heinous acts are killers, plain and simple. Thanks for downloading and listening, Bob Mayne

Active shooter situations like the recent Aurora Colorado movie theater shooting and the recent shooting at the Sikh Temple in Wisconsin seem to really make people stop and think about their safety and how they plan to keep themselves safe. They almost always lead to more gun sales and more ammo sales. The main topic of this episode is a discussion of how the shooting in Colorado has changed my outlook on concealed carry, training and self defense. How has it changed you? This episode also begins with some listener voice mails. Thanks for downloading and listening. Bob Mayne, HandgunWorld Podcast
