I’ve always believed in a concealed carry “system.” All of the parts work together. What I mean is your gun, holster and belt work together to complete your concealed carry system. Well, add another item to the list. The CCW COMFORT SLING. Tony Ferrante, the owner of the company joins me to discuss how his product helps to complete the system.

A friend who owns a police supply business asked me to field test the Comfort Sling before before ordering it to sell to his customers. The Comfort Sling is anything but comfortable. I’m of average height and weight (5’10” 185lbs. with a 35″ waist) and carry a SIG P226 for CCW. This is a heavy gun but I’ve never had a problem with sagging or shifting. Why? Because I invested in a sturdy belt and quality OWB holster which rides close to the body. The Comfort Sling rides up when seated no matter how many adjustments I made and it made no difference whatsoever in the “wearability” of the gun, plus i was constantly aware of its presence.  In my opinion this is a useless item and those who buy it will surely wind up relegating it to the ubiquitous holster box of useless carry items. This might prove to be a useful item for the uniformed police officer who carries weighty items but this is also a stretch. I was with the NYPD for 20 years and would consider this item one extra item I really didn’t need, unless i was so out of shape my gun belt was sagging below my gut. Best advise: buy a quality belt which will support the weight of a firearm, coupled with a like holster and you’re good to go.

Duly noted. It’s not for everyone. Some have reported excellent results. This is kind of like holsters. Everyone has a different body type and a different preference for what feels comfortable. Thanks for sharing your experience.
