So much good feedback and questions have been sent to me in the past few weeks. I really appreciate it, so in this episode I get caught up on quite a bit of my backlog of emails. This show includes information about High Noon Holsters, the Kel Tec PLR-16, Texas Gun Talk forums, stopping power, Center Axis Relock, testing handguns and more. Most of this show is contributed by people on the Gun Rights Radio Network Forum and emails sent to me recently. I consider this a show produced by the listeners. I’m just the host and the guy that puts it together. Thanks for listening and safe shooting! Bob Mayne – HandgunWorld Show

Study reveals important truths hidden in the details of officer involved shootings.
When you went into a mini rant about not allowing private land owner to restrict concealed carry on their own property, I think you failed to think about all the ramifications about that.
For instance, the 1st amendment says I can preach racial hatred, but I can’t do it in your house or place of business. A business has the right to refuse service to anyone, if that means they don’t want guns on their property, so be it. It’s not just about Wally World and the local coffee shop. It’s about your house. I’m directly affected by this every day in my job and my life. I don’t like not being able to carry everywhere, but I also don’t want to have to let a stranger into my house or business with a gun if I sense trouble from them. Remember your right to shake your fist ends at my nose.
Brice, I agree with you about people’s homes. That’s a person’s castle. But what I was referring to is an employer. A business who employs the public. Under most state laws, those places of business are not their castle. It’s my opinion that they should not be treated the same as a person’s home. A business as the right to refuse service to anyone, but do they have a right not to employ someone because of race, religion, sex, creed, etc? No. Nor should they have a right not to employ someone because they choose to excercise their second amendment rights. I agree with you about people’s homes, but not place of business.
Bob,
While an employer cannot discriminate based on race, religion, etc, they do have the right and often do infringe on one’s 1st amendment rights. Employers can tell employees what to say, wear, etc. I’m sure you wouldn’t keep your job for too long if you made disparaging remarks about the company or your bosses.
The 2nd amendment, just like the 1st amendment, prevents the government from infringing on our rights. But there is no such protection from employers or other entities.
Of course, we as consumers can choose to boycott those companies that don’t allow their employees to exercise their 2nd amendment rights.
BTW, I just received my concealed carry license last week so I’m officially Yankee with a gun #3. (From MA and moved to KY)
Keep up the great podcasts!
