Carrying a gun is a duty, and obligation and should be taken very seriously…and why?…I carry a gun whenever it is legal.
I’ve heard of people saying…that when they enter the home or place of business of someone they don’t know, they will inform them they are armed, and ask them if they would prefer that they not carry a gun while there. Not me, I don’t subscribe to this theory. I don’t look for trouble, but trouble may find me and I’m not taking any chances.
Highlights of this show:
- Where the 2nd amendment came from
- What happened after Florida pssed their “shall issue” concealed carry law
- Armed Citizens of the 21st Century
- What doomsdayer’s predicted after concealed carry laws were passed
- What it really means to carry a gun
- The English Bill of Rights
I just had a chance to listen to this episode. Every once in a while I find a podcast that is worth saving and this is one of them. Great history lesson and very thought provoking. Thanks!
Thanks! That was recorded so long ago, I’m having a hard time remembering everything, I think I may listen to it again, myself! 🙂
I’ve been starting at the beginning of your podcasts and going through them and just listened to this one. Great podcast! I know you recordede this a long time ago, but wondered if you still had any old notes or happen to remember some of the sources for any of the statistics that you provided about how frequntly armed citizens use firearms in self defense? I find it amazing that incidents where people defend themselves successfully are so often ignored by the media.
Keep up the great work!
Lane, thanks for the compliment. I got quite a bit of my information from http://www.gunfacts.info
It’s a great site and you can get their free ebook with a lot of statistical and historical information.
