Choosing a concealed carry rig and concealed carry method that’s right for you is a daunting task. Should you use IWB, AIWB, OWB, small of back, ankle or pocket carry? There are thousands of choices and it’s hard for me to know what’s right for you. However, listen in and I’ll do my best to help you make your decision.
Highlights:
- OWB Belt Carry holsters.
- IWB carry holsters.
- Appendix carry (my favorite.)
- Retention.
- Rough side out.
- Trigger protection.
- Shoulder holsters.
- Small of the back.
- Pocket carry.
- Ankle carry.
- Accidents seen because of poor holster selection.

I enjoyed this episode on concealed carry. You did miss one. Not popular and slower but I believe it has options. I use the Safepacker with my S&W 357 revolver. Why, It allows me a few options.
I can completely cover my pistol without the worry of exposure.
It doesn’t look obvious especially if you hang your keys on it.
You can attach it to your seat belt when your driving.
you can carry it in your hand and have it secure with the strap.
Also slip it off and stow it if you need to. I commented about it in the Armed Ape Podcast, http://thearmedape.com/?s=safepacker
I just purchased a Ruger SR9c of which I have 150 rounds towards my 1000 round trigger job and it’s great. Fits my hand well, shoots great. I will be looking for a regular holster for it. Thinking of an IWB and carry appendix or behind the hip.
Maybe you could talk about Speed loaders. I got a Upula speed loader and it works great.
Great Podcast. Good format.
You’re right, I missed that one. Thanks for posting this. I’ll try to weave it into another show soon. Take care and thanks for listening and most importantly, glad to see that you carry your pistol!
