Grip angle is talked about so much I couldn’t ignore it so here’s a show about my thoughts on whether your pistol’s grip angle makes a difference in your shooting. Obviously when grip angle is discussed, 99% of the time people compare Glocks to 1911’s. So tune in for my thoughts on that.
Also…are video games firearms trainers? Tune in, the answer may surprise you.

I have not gotten a chance to listen to this yet. I was recently enlightened about this podcast from a gentleman named Bob Mayne over at the ‘Today’s Survival Show’. He seems to have some good ideas on that podcast as well 😉
I started at Episode 1 with this podcast and have learned a great deal so far (currently on episode 67). In looking at the upcoming episodes, I saw this one and wanted to comment since I just went shooting today. I shot a few different weapons today (Springfield 9mm, Glock 23, and .45 1911). I was using the sights on the weapons and was doing pretty well. Then I thought I would try ‘point’ shooting. At 7-10 yards, I was just as accurate as when using the sights. This is only my third time shooting pistols and have shot about 500 total rounds through them. So why was I so accurate – cause I thought of this as ‘Video Game Mode’. To answer the question -are video games good firearms trainers – yes, definitely.
Thank you for sharing that experience! I took some heat over this episode. Some thought it was “preaching” but you seem to have gotten the true message of it, thanks.
